NuraLogix, a Canadian technology brand, introduced Anura MagicMirror at CES 2024, an artificial intelligence mirror designed to assess health risks in just 30 seconds.
During a test by The US Sun, the mirror produced intriguing and sometimes surprising results, such as showing that facial skin was seven years older than the actual age and recommending stress reduction. MagicMirror uses Transdermal Optical Imaging (TO) technology and Remote Photoplethysmography (rPPG) to analyze blood flow and extract information from key areas of the face. The data is sent to the cloud-based DeepAffex platform, which uses machine learning algorithms to calculate more than 100 health parameters, including predicting risks of heart disease, stroke, type 2 diabetes and fatty liver disease.
The mirror generates an overall health score out of 100, with parameters displayed on a color-coded scale. Although consumer pricing for home use is not available, NuraLogix; It envisions applications in kiosks, pharmacies, doctor’s offices or health centers.
Mirror offers not only a diagnostic tool but also individual software sales. In one test scenario, the user received a health score of 80 out of 100, which is considered good, where the parameters are predominantly in the green zone and reflect a healthy state.
