- Technology giant Google announced that it has created a spam filter for text messages received on phones.
- The feature to be used thanks to Google Voice has been made available to Android and iOS users.
- With the spam filter, users will get rid of unwanted text messages.
Unwanted messages and calls are just one of the common problems of all users. Every user is exposed to calls or messages from unknown sources almost every day. Google is making new decisions to save users from spam messages and searches. Especially those who use Google Voice can see whether the incoming call is spam or not before answering the call. A similar feature will now be used for text messages.
Android and iOS users who use Google Voice now encounter spam notifications for text messages. Google Voice displays warning notifications to users about messages it detects as spam. With this feature, users will be able to detect spam messages in advance.
Google Voice will notify the user that the message is spam
As soon as Google Voice determines that the incoming message comes from a spam source, it will put a warning icon as seen above. There will be the word “suspicious spam” next to the warning icon. When the user sees this warning, he will be able to save the sending number as spam. The registered user will not be able to see the message the next time he receives a message from the same number. The message will be placed directly in the spam folder.
If the user does not want to save the message as spam, the incoming message will continue to be displayed with existing warnings. The spam filtering feature coming to Google Voice will soon be available to all users.
